Statement to voters

Worcester is my home and over the past 17 years I've built my life and family here.

Full statement

Our city could be thriving, but it's been let down by a government lacking vision. Our roads and busses, our healthcare and hospital are failing under the Conservatives' neglect. Our schools are in crisis and local businesses are closing.

Meanwhile we face climate breakdown, a global emergency, and the realities of daily life make change seem impossible.

I'm standing because I believe there's hope.

I've dedicated my business career to building the green economy by decarbonising heat. I head Bosch's innovation team developing hydrogen-ready boilers, and I am an industry leader in hydrogen and zero-carbon heat. I speak publicly at various conferences informing the Westminster energy debate.

As a City Councillor, I tackled the climate crisis head on, pushing for higher local ambition to insulate buildings and develop strategy for safe streets to walk and cycle. I fought for outdoor play for children. I know the tough reality of life for many in Worcester and through casework I've made a difference.

We can transform lives and build a sustainable economy, by putting people at the centre of our politics and economy.

I stepped up because I want to see integrity and leadership in politics. I'm part of this city - I use our local services and my children go to local schools. I have built and led teams, and brought change in business, industry and national policy.

I'm ready to be what Worcester deserves - a present, truly local MP with a vision for our city, and an effective voice in Westminster.
