John Milne lives with his family in the centre of Horsham.

His son studied at The Weald and his wife currently works for the NHS.

In his professional career John worked as Creative Director for a major international advertising agency. He was based in Ireland for 14 years where he built up the largest agency of its kind, winning many awards.

He entered politics for the first time when he became a District Councillor 5 years ago, and is now also a County Councillor. Since the Lib Dems won the local elections last year he has served as Deputy Leader of Horsham District Council.

John’s top priority for Horsham is to be a genuine local champion. He believes that the best decisions are made by people who understand their neighbourhood. Based on his experiences as a councillor, he would like to see much more power and budget devolved to a local level.

“Horsham has been taken for granted for too long. It’s been a rock solid safe seat and that hasn’t helped our campaign to get a hospital or other services. This time, for the first time, we have an amazing chance to change things for the better.”
