With family on the Hill and home in the Valley, East Surrey is firmly at the centre of his life. Alongside his day job as a technology leader, where he helps organisations modernise and improve, Robin serves as a District Councillor for Harestone and as Vice Chair of Caterham Valley Parish Council. He is standing as a candidate for the East Surrey Unitary, Caterham Valley Division.

Robin believes public services work best when they are shaped around the outcomes that matter to local people. He takes a fair, practical, evidence-based approach, focused on local decision making and clear accountability. A keen walker, he cares deeply about local communities and green spaces, and believes it is possible to respond to a fast-paced world while holding on to what makes this area special.

As a Councillor, Robin has focused on making a difference locally. He has worked with Parish colleagues to secure funding to refurbish community spaces, including Timber Hill playground. He has led efforts to strengthen HMO enforcement and supported residents opposing large, unsustainable developments in Harestone. Robin recognises that residents are often passed between services, so he is focused on a more joined up approach, making it easier for people to access what they need.

Robin’s priorities are better day to day services, strong local representation, and a council residents can trust.
