I'm Margaret Montgomery.
Full statement
I was brought up in Wallsend with my eight brothers and sisters. It was through my family, education & community that my values were formed. Values that have developed but haven't changed since getting married, moving to Walkergate, bringing up my two children and being involved in community activities. I look for the best in people, and believe in helping and supporting people in need.
Since my recent retirement from teaching, I find that my grandchildren, family, friends & social connections make my life fulfilled. I believe in empowering people in our community to live the best lives they can live. I see my role as a councillor as being directed by the needs of Walkergate residents.
