Duncan Wood's policies
Statement to voters
I have lived here for 26 years and for the past decade it has been a real privilege to serve Pinhoe as one of your City Councillors.
Full statement
I am standing again at this election because I care deeply about our community and I believe Pinhoe deserves councillors who live here, understand first-hand the issues we face, and will keep standing up for local residents.
As your Councillor, I have got a proud track record. I have helped secure investment in projects such as Pinhoe Hub, the Station Road enhancement, its accessible play park, the BMX pump track and skatepark. I am also directly involved with local groups, charities and residents’ associations.
More recently I also helped establish the Save Devon’s Libraries campaign, challenging Lib Dem and Green-run County Council cuts that threaten valued local services like Pinhoe Library.
If you re-elect me, I promise that I’ll keep working hard for you:
I’m proud to live in Pinhoe and Exeter, and while both can be improved, I will keep working to make Pinhoe the best it can be. My record speaks for itself.
I’ll fight to ensure the council delivers value for money, keeping council tax low, with just 8% of your council tax going to the City Council to fund our services and facilities.
I’ll work with the Council, police and local groups to support community projects and initiatives, while tackling fly-tipping, litter and antisocial behaviour in Pinhoe.
I hope I can earn your support at this upcoming election.
