A former Westminster candidate for Glasgow South, he has campaigned across the city on a platform of social justice, energy affordability, housing crisis and constitutional change.
Professionally, Dhruva is an educationist and trade unionist with a background in maritime engineering and international trade. He has championed fair pay, better working conditions and the use of Scotland’s natural wealth to tackle fuel poverty and the cost of living crisis.

Dhruva is also known for his work challenging religious prejudice and promoting community cohesion, helping to give a voice to minority communities within Scotland’s independence movement.

Dhruva is also recognised for his writing, commentary, and community advocacy. He has contributed articles and opinion pieces on Scottish politics, the cost of living crisis, trade and international relations.

Committed to safeguarding women’s rights and strengthening public services, Dhruva supports robust protections in law, properly funded healthcare, and social policies that prioritise families, children and older people. As a Glasgow regional list candidate, he aims to champion the concerns of ordinary Glaswegians in Holyrood, making the case that only independence gives Scotland the tools to end austerity, invest in people, and build a fairer, more confident nation.
