Statement to voters

Lifelong Tamworth resident and builder, I’ve stood twice for election in Tamworth and I’m standing again because I believe I can make a difference by listening to you and using my real-world experience to deliver the kind of Tamworth that you want to see.

Full statement

Local Government is changing and I want to be there to oversee a smooth transition, ensuring democracy at the local level is maintained, your voice is heard and our community heritage is preserved.
Labour and Conservative parties alike have consistently failed us, do you think the £21.6million “Levelling Up” funds were well spent in the town on some wonky new paving, some poky little shop units and a new college that was full to capacity on the day that it opened? Were you asked for your views on where this money should have been spent?
What we need is an environment that is well maintained, fostering pride in our community. Public transport that actually turns up when it is supposed to. Community banking hubs to replace the banks that are abandoning us. Public spaces where we don’t just survive, but thrive.
People want change, but don’t look in the direction of Reform to deliver it, since taking control of the County Council in May 2025 the only change they seem to have delivered is their leader (3 in the space of 4 months) every time a racist social media post comes to light. Theirs is the politics of Division, Isolation and Hate. Ours is of Inclusion, Community and Hope.
May 7th can be the turning point where we collectively send the message that we want something better not just for our future but for that of our children and generations to come.
