Since then I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant in North London while studying to become a primary school teacher as I was always passionate to work with children. I moved to Waltham Cross in 2006 and lived in the town for nearly two decades. I worked in Hurst Drive Primary School while finishing my studies and graduated in 2010. Once graduated, I started a full-time job as a primary school teacher in Walthamstow. During my teaching career in Walthamstow, I also continued studying and expanding my knowledge on SEND, as I am also a parent carer.

Lately, I have been part of different campaigns for SEND parents and the support they need. Last year I was actively advocating for parent carers’ rights. I have been working closely with Carers UK, Contact for families and BBC‬ News continuously raise the issues and advocating for changes to current laws, as well ‭as meeting with MPs to propose‬ these changes to best benefit SEND children and their families.
