Statement to voters
I have lived in Elsworth for 6 years and have a strong sense of the importance of community life and kindness to others.
Full statement
I have been politically active all my life, and am particularly passionate on issues such as equality, anti-racism, Palestine liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare.
I believe we need to fight to uphold our right to protest, which is currently under attack and I regularly take part in national and local demonstrations and campaigns.
For the last year, I have also co-organised a local, fortnightly Vigil for Palestine, speaking out against our government’s complicity in the genocide of the Palestinian people.
So much is going wrong in today’s money driven society and it is imperative that we start putting people and planet over profit.
I believe, that we must tax the super rich and divert money from warfare in order to generate the funding so desperately needed for our broken public services and to bring millions of children out of poverty.
Locally, it's easy to see the need for investment in our infrastructure, the roads are littered with dangerous potholes, affordable housing is critically needed, and cheap and frequent public transport is required.
Vote Green for real hope and real change.
