Full statement
My wife Lynda and I brough up our two children here, putting down deep roots and creating many happy memories. I’m standing in this election because I feel let down by poor council decisions that have seen our services deteriorate and our council tax rise to be the highest in the country. I am new to politics and not a traditional candidate. My convictions are underpinned by Conservative values, but my focus is on bringing common sense and logic back to the Council. My skills and experience come from a career in asset management, holding senior leadership roles that require the highest standards of integrity, competence, and judgement. My career is based on delivering superior customer service, growing revenue, and controlling cost. If elected, I will apply the same discipline to improving services and cutting waste within the council.
