Statement to voters
Since joining the Parish Council 11 years ago, as part of a campaign to save the library, preserving and improving our community assets has been central to my work.
Full statement
I have been a trustee for Freshwater Memorial Hall, almost as long as I have been a Parish Councillor.
Helping to make the Memorial Hall the vibrant & diverse community hub it is.
As Chair of the Planning committee, I have put preserving the unique character of Freshwater at the
centre of decision making and the Neighbourhood Plan.
I have worked productively with, and trained, Councillors from all parties and none. Making me well equipped to be your voice on the new committee-based Isle of Wight Council; where all Councillors are part of decision making.
I am looking forward to doing all of the things a County Councillor can do for you, which a Parish
Councillor cannot.
