Full statement
I've locally for over 20 years so I'm aware of ongoing issues such as road maintenance but also recognize that each are of Linton has it's own unique identity.
Derbyshire Council is broken. It is a sad reflection of the country as a whole with excessive wage bills, inappropriately long contracts and incompetence on a massive scale. Reform UK is only party that is committed to full auditing of the Council for action and accountibilty. This change must begin locally so if elected here is my pledge to the people of Linton Division. I will recognise and support the good work that is already being carried out, I will embrace ownership of raised issues I will actively seek out and identify flawed and bad practices which will help pave the way for the audits and governmental change. Above all I will listen to the community and be a tenacious voice of action for the people.
