I’m writing to introduce myself as your Reform UK candidate for Helston South & Meneage in the upcoming Cornwall Council elections on 1st May.

Like you, I care deeply about our area. I live and work here, and I’ve spent years serving the community—as a Parish Councillor, with years experience as healthcare assistant in the NHS/private sector and a small business owner supporting local tradespeople. I’m standing for election because I believe Cornwall deserves better, and I won’t sit back while local issues are ignored.

People on the doorstep are telling me the same things:
• Our roads are unsafe and crumbling.
• Holiday lets and second homes are pricing out locals.
• Planning decisions are out of touch.
• Raw sewage is still being dumped on our beaches.
• Young families can’t find homes, and local services are stretched thin.
• Council spending is out of control, and yet nothing improves.

The Conservative-run council has failed to fix these problems. The Lib Dems talk a good game, but they’ve held power in Cornwall too—and things still got worse.

In the last four years, the Council spent £5 million on outside consultants—a 300% rise. Over £1 million was wasted on a failed sell-off of Newquay Airport. Now, Cornwall is £1.3 billion in debt.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Reform UK stands for common sense, accountability, and action. We’ll:
• Fix our roads and make them safe again.
• Push back on inappropriate development.
• Prioritise local people for housing.
• Tackle speeding, crime, and antisocial behaviour.
• Get our public services working properly again.
• End wasteful spending and deliver real value for money.

I’ve never been a career politician. I’ve worked hard all my life and I’ll work just as hard for you. I’m here to speak up for the people who live here all year round not party interests or big developers.

If you want someone who will fight for you, not play party games at County Hall then put your trust in me on 1st May.
