Full statement

He will work tirelessly to improve accountability at County Hall, ensuring our local government works transparently and effectively for the people it serves. Paul also understands the challenges we face with health and social care access, and he’s dedicated to finding practical solutions to ensure everyone in St Austell gets the support and services they need.
Married with 4 grown up children Paul and his wife moved from Exeter to St Austell 10 years ago to start a new Care company which now provides support for vulnerable people across Cornwall.

As a young man Paul moved from farming to join the NHS where he trained as a registered nurse specialising in Learning Disability and following a 25-year career which meant moving to several different parts of the UK he became an NHS Chief Executive.

Following this he took on the role of Chief Executive of a National Disability Charity where he stayed for 13 years before moving to St Austell.

Paul was born In North Devon, and he is proud that his great grandparents were Cornish which he mentions on many occasions when necessary!
As well as holding a registered nurse qualification Paul also received a master’s in business administration from the University of Birmingham.
Currently Paul shares responsibility with his wife as joint Director (CEO) for the care company based in St Austell and are both active in their local church.

Paul Says: ‘I am committed to working with residents & others to improve our town & county, and feel privileged to stand for Reform UK’.
Cornwall needs reform urgently & your vote will have a positive impact for change.
