Full statement
He serves as Deputy Chair of Tisbury Parish Council and chairs the Tisbury and West Tisbury Neighbourhood Plan group.
He has also served as Finance Governor of St John’s School, Tisbury, where his son was a pupil.
As a founder of the Nadder Community Land Trust, Gerry worked hard to deliver affordable housing for local residents on the Old Sports Centre site. He believes sustainable development, backed by proper infrastructure, is vital for rural communities.
Committed to improving roads and protecting the River Nadder, he plans to continue Dick Budden’s work in these areas.
Gerry recently represented the community in successfully opposing the Station Works planning appeal, ensuring development aligns with Tisbury’s neighbourhood plan.
Gerry Murray will bring this experience and determination to the role of councillor for Tisbury, the Donheads and Fonthill Gifford.
