Jo Keeling is a dedicated community advocate with a career rooted in public service.

Full statement

A former Police Officer with 20 years of experience, Jo transitioned her expertise in public safety into allergy advocacy, public speaking, education and now politics.

Throughout her career, Jo has been driven by a passion for protecting and supporting others. Although a life-threatening medical condition led to her medical retirement from policing, she remains committed to helping people in new ways. As an allergy advocate, she guides businesses on best practices to create safe and inclusive workplaces, She also shares her expertise as a guest lecturer at Southampton University Hospital. In addition, Jo has authored two children’s books to educate young people on emergency preparedness and safety, inspired by a real-life experience when her two year old daughter called 999 and helped save her life.

Jo managed the campaign office of Sir Conor Burns, the former MP for Bournemouth West, where she gained an extensive insight into local issues, the challenges faced by residents and a campaign for a General Election. As Chair of the Talbot Village Residents’ Association, she actively engages with the community, working alongside local businesses, ward councillors and BCP Council to address key concerns.

Jo’s commitment to making a difference, whether through law enforcement, public health advocacy, or political engagement, drives her work as a Conservative campaigner. She is passionate about ensuring Bournemouth West remains a safe, thriving and supportive place for all its residents.
