Lower Edmonton deserves people who fight for us.
Full statement
I’ve spent months speaking to many of you, and while I’m not a councillor, I pushed your councillors to get Bounces Road resurfaced because you asked. I came to the UK aged 6 and went to Edmonton County School and Woodhouse College. I have a strong background working in this community, first at 18, running Kate Osamor MP’s campaign to have her elected and then a youth justice worker at St Peter’s Church. We’re making progress, reversing brutal Tory cuts that hit our community hard. I know families here want action to cut the cost of living, build more council homes and more to improve existing ones, clean up our streets, enforce against rogue HMOs, and better parking management. We have great trees in Edmonton, but we must prune them regularly. With £20 million secured from the Labour government, this council election is our chance to restore pride in Lower Edmonton.
