Statement to voters

I grew up in Haringey and it shaped who I am. Coming from a Kurdish Alevi background, I learned early what it feels like to be unheard. I’m determined that every resident has someone who will stand up for them. Through working at the Alevi Centre, I’ve supported people with housing, family and personal challenges. I’m someone others can rely on. As I’ve lived here most of my life, I understand the issues people deal with every day. If elected, I’ll be a visible councillor who listens and takes action. I want to serve, and give back to our community.
