Ruth is an active campaigner for social, environment and disability justice in Havering.

She is a mother of two young girls, one of whom lives with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Prior to her treasured role as a carer, she was an A Level lecturer at a sixth form college in Havering.

Since then, she's become an avid campaigner, writer and local theatre producer for disability inclusion.

For years, she's regularly held Havering Council to account on:
-The Launders Lane fires
-She led the campaign with Clear the Air in Havering that took Havering Council to the -High Court and won!
-She successfully lobbied Havering Council to support Zane’s Law.
-She is working with neuroscienctists and with Queen Mary's University towards -statutory long-term health accountability for Rainham residents.
-The importance of keeping Havering libraries open
-SEND rights for disabled children in the borough
-Environmental and health justice for children

Ruth has worked so hard outside of local government; it stands to reason how much more impact she could have as a force for good in the area if she was elected to represent South Hornchurch residents as your ward councillor.
