I’ve always felt that a councillor should already be part of the community long before an election comes around.

I didn’t wait for a title to start getting involved locally; I’ve raised my family here, and I’ve been putting the work in for years simply because I care about this place.

I’m a local business owner and chaplain. I have also volunteered my time as a trustee at The Cedarwood Trust, was a governor at Norham High School and sat on the board of the North Shields Business Chamber.

Some of the things I've already achieved for the community include lobbying the council for a pedestrian crossing on Wallsend Road - I'd witnessed numerous children and mothers with prams encountering near misses. The council listened and the crossing was finally installed in 2024! I also frequently report fly-tipping in the area and I have achieved numerous timely clean-ups by the council as a result.

This place matters to me. The people here matter. Families and community matter. And that’s why I’m standing for election - to make a real difference for the things that matter most.
