Statement to voters
I’m honoured to have been selected as a candidate for Manor Park Ward.
Full statement
This feels like a natural continuation of the community work I’ve been committed to in Rushmoor for many years.
As a veteran’s spouse, I understand the realities of military life and the importance of visible, reliable support, particularly in a ward where many military families call home and where a strong sense of community matters.
I currently serve within Manor Park Ward as a Safeguarding Governor at St Michael’s Infant School and as a Safeguarding Officer at St Michael’s Church. These roles have strengthened my understanding of the importance of safe, supportive environments for children, families, and the wider community.
I have also spent many years supporting women and families affected by domestic abuse. Through this work, I have learned to work across services and systems, advocating for those who may feel unheard or overlooked. It continues to shape how I show up, with empathy, care, and a strong commitment to the community. Supporting others and serving the community has always been something I find deeply meaningful.
I am standing for Manor Park Ward to be a visible, approachable local councillor who, if elected, will listen, take action, and stand up for the residents of Manor Park, with a strong commitment to our community.
Every voice matters.
