After growing up in Edinburgh, he served in the Royal Navy in a variety of theatres including patrolling the Shetland-Faroe Islands Gap, honing leadership skills and developing a firm, pragmatic approach to solving complex problems under pressure. Following service, he transitioned into the healthcare sector, experiencing firsthand the challenges facing frontline workers and the need for evidence-based policies in public services.

Vic is running for Holyrood because he believes current political discourse is failing to address the fundamental needs of the community.
