About Rbeeza Mobeen
My name is Rbeeza, and I’ve lived in Walthamstow since primary school, so a lot of my formative upbringing was around these parts!

I’m now a social impact reporter for a fabulous little charity that combines art and activism to bring about social change, and love bringing my artsy expertise and lived experience as a first-gen migrant to our workshops and projects.

You’ll probably find me at the libraries checking out a gazillion books (or asking for info on how to book the space for an event) or at the wetlands, doing a walk and talk with local charities.

I’m always looking to uplift the most marginalised voices in our community, and learning from those who came before me in the fights for justice.

What Rbeeza stands for
As a first-generation immigrant, I’ve seen what making non-abolitionist local reforms does to strengthen the existing social inequality in an area.

I stand for the populations residing in Waltham Forest: our communities, our livelihoods, and our chances at succeeding in life should be made easier and more accessible, rather than prioritising vacant luxury flats that none of us can afford.

I stand for the families in Waltham Forest whose politics are unheard and cast aside, and who feel that they’re being pushed to the sidelines as a result of ever-increasing socio-economic policies.
