With housing being a matter with an acute shortage of affordable property I have ideas on delivering homes for local people at costs which they can meet.

Hampshire County Council has an impressive property portfolio and my ambition would be to review its assets and explore ways to improve the capital it can generate where surplus revenue can make a meaningful contribution to improving the local infrastructure, such as the ongoing challenge of potholes.

The Hampshire Avon, a precious south coast Chalk Stream, is being tested beyond its capability to deal with the challenges that are presented to it and with my knowledge on how to improve outcomes to safeguard the interests of this truly valuable resource of natural capital and the many species that rely on our healthy rivers I hope to make a difference.

With some much of our County being owned by agriculture, I feel that it is imperative that we work with this sector to meet our environmental objectives. We need to build in resilience into our practices to safeguard ecology and ensure that there is an efficient mechanism for food delivery whilst considering the impacts and reducing these.
