Statement to voters
I’m running because I’m passionate about improving and investing our communities (both in Colne Valley East & Kirklees more widely), as well as providing an alternative to the decades of declining services – especially in regards to fuelling anti-social behaviour
As a student at the University of Huddersfield I am eager to learn and want to bring that energy to Town Hall
Young voices like mine are routinely put-down as lacking experience but I believe that we simply have different but still equally valid amounts of experience, making it important that younger voices like mine are also represented on our council
Previously I have worked with my local parish council, through petitioning the local community, to get a bus shelter instated at a frequently used bus stop.
