Statement to voters
I have lived in LB Sutton for over 25 years.
Full statement
I am now retired, but worked as a civil servant, trade union official and parliamentary researcher - all of those roles gave me skills which I would be able to use in representing residents' interests, challenging poor Council decisions and taking up issues on behalf of local people.
I gained an MA degree in 2019 as a mature student. Last year gave me some insight into how the NHS works in our area - brilliantly as far as I was concerned.
I'm a longstanding member of the Labour and Co-operative parties, and believe we can make a huge difference by supporting new local businesses on our high streets. There are huge international challenges facing us now, but we must ensure we do the best for our communities.
