Statement to voters

I am not a career politician.

Full statement

I am simply a hardworking, deeply disillusioned Brit , one of millions who have spent a lifetime doing the right thing.
I worked.
I built.
I employed people.
I took risks.
And over the course of that life, I have paid millions in tax believing, as most of us once did, that those contributions were helping to build a safer, stronger country for the future.

But somewhere along the way, that trust was broken.

Instead of protecting what generations before us built, successive governments have wasted and squandered vast sums of our money on failed ideas, short-sighted policies, and grand promises that delivered little except decline.

Now, as I get older, I look around at the very institutions I spent decades paying into and I see a country that no longer functions as it should.

The NHS, once the pride of Britain is on its knees.
Police numbers have been cut while crime grows more brazen.
Infrastructure is crumbling.
Communities feel forgotten.
And families who work hard every day are being crushed under a tax burden that grows heavier while public services grow weaker.

At the same time, we are being pushed into an ideologically driven race to net zero that is driving up costs, weakening industry, and making life harder for ordinary people, all while those making the decisions remain insulated from the consequences.

And that is what angers people most.

Not just the failure.
But the detachment.

A political class that lectures the public while refusing to live by the consequences of its own decisions.

For years, like many people, I asked myself the same question:

How much longer do we simply watch this country decline and hope somebody else fixes it?

How much longer do decent people stay silent while Britain slowly loses the strength, pride and common sense that once made it the envy of the world?

For me, the answer became simple.

You either stand by and watch this country slowly disappear —
or you step forward and fight for it.

I chose to step forward.

Not because politics was ever part of my plan.
But because surrender should never be part of any patriot’s character.

I am bringing with me forty years of experience in high-pressure environments, hard decisions, business leadership and real-world problem solving — because Britain does not need more polished politicians.

It needs people who understand responsibility.
People who understand consequence.
People who know how to lead.
And people who still believe this country is worth saving.

I cannot promise easy answers.
But I can promise this:

I will say what others are too frightened to say.
I will ask the questions others refuse to ask.
And I will never forget who I am there to serve.

Because this country does not belong to Westminster.

It belongs to the people who built it.

And perhaps, like me, you have reached the point where you know that simply being angry is no longer enough.

Perhaps you have decided it is time to do something about it.
