For over 35 years, I have been a constant voice in Suffolk’s elections. You may know me as David Chandler, but on your ballot paper, you will find me as "Chaz" Chandler.
I am standing as your Independent candidate because I believe Mildenhall deserves a representative who prioritizes our streets, our schools, and our surgeries over party politics. With three and a half decades of experience in the Suffolk political landscape, I have the knowledge and the grit to ensure Mildenhall is never ignored.
My Local Priorities for Mildenhall
Save Our Bus Station: I am committed to protecting the Mildenhall bus station from being swallowed up by commercial operations. It is a vital community asset, and its primary purpose must remain serving the traveling public.
Education for Our Youth: Our children deserve the best start in life. I will fight for robust educational support and to expand 6th Form provision locally. Our students should be able to study right here in Mildenhall, rather than being forced to travel to Bury St Edmunds.
Improving SEND Services: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support in Suffolk needs urgent attention. I will advocate for better local resources to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive.
A Health Hub for Workers: We need a Health Hub that reflects modern life. I am campaigning for weekend medical access, ensuring that our hard-working residents can get the healthcare they need on their days off.
Investing in Adult Education: Learning shouldn't stop at 18. I want to see increased investment in adult education to help our residents retrain and upskill locally.
