I am standing as a candidate because my work as a teacher in the local community has given me a close understanding of the challenges people face, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

I have seen first-hand how years of underfunding have impacted essential services, particularly for young people and families. I want to use my experience to help create a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable community.

I support the Radcliffe and Redvales Flood Defence Scheme, which will protect up to 870 properties from a repeat of the devastating flooding seen on Boxing Day 2015. I also support increasing green spaces and amenity areas, including improved sports facilities for the community. Through my work, I have seen the challenges many people face—from barriers to learning to food poverty—made worse by rising food and petrol prices. I want to help create a fairer, more supportive, and sustainable community for everyone. I am committed to supporting families through inclusive education and accessible services, tackling food poverty and waste, and helping to rebuild strong, connected community networks.
