My name is Paul McGurk.

I am 54 years old, married, and have been a resident in our villages for nearly 30 years.

This is the community that gave me a home, a career, friendships, and a family. It is also the place where I see my future, and that is why I am standing for Marshland North.

I am not a career politician, and I have no ambition to move on to higher political roles. I simply want to serve the area I know and care about.

I have spent over 35 years working in manufacturing and industry, managing teams, solving practical problems and making responsible decisions. Those experiences have taught me the value of hard work, common sense and listening to the people you represent.

My focus is on the issues that matter to everyday life in our villages:

Protecting our rural environment and standing up for our communities
Supporting safer neighbourhoods and tackling anti-social behaviour
Improving road maintenance and ensuring potholes are properly repaired
Strengthening transport links and rural connections
Supporting local businesses and encouraging opportunities for local people
Ensuring our villages receive their fair share of investment and services

I believe local government should be about delivering practical results.

That means making sure services work, that public money is spent wisely, and that our communities are not overlooked or taken for granted.

As a family man rooted in this community, I understand the importance of stability, opportunity and looking ahead with confidence.

If elected, I will work with commitment and common sense to represent Marshland North and ensure our villages are properly heard, supported and respected.
