Statement to voters

🗳️Five reasons to vote for me on 7 May🗳️

✅ As a candidate I’ve worked hard week in week out for the Elton community.

Full statement

I don’t just turn up at election time. I want the opportunity to step this up if I’m lucky enough to get elected in May and continue getting things done for residents and businesses. I will always show up, respond, and try my best to get a positive result for you.

✅ I’ve lived in Bury for over a decade and care about making the town and Elton a better place. This is my home and I’m invested in delivering positive change. I’ve already been cracking on with the job: getting roads and streets fixed; and working with our brilliant community groups like Keep Bury Clean, Brandlesholme Community Centre and the local neighbourhood police team to improve the are and make it safer.

✅ You deserve better than an invisible councillor and a fresh start with someone who actually wants to do the job and doesn’t take residents for granted. The current Reform councillor has let residents down and is now whining that he’s been found out for taking tax payers for a free ride with less than one recorded council casework email per month.

âś… I am on the side of working people, families and the most vulnerable. I will fight for you in the Council Chamber and work with our local MP, Mayor and Government to improve local family and children services, and get more investment for better Elton community facilities.

âś… Labour is the only party with a fully costed plan to deliver for Bury. ÂŁ12 million to fix our roads, regenerations projects being delivered across the borough, and more funding to deliver our key frontline services.
Reform couldn’t be bothered to present a budget or costed plans in February, and they still haven’t. They just expect you to trust them with no detail, but the truth is they’ve been a disaster for the council areas they took over last year.

As a resident I don’t want to risk Bury’s future with Reform, and hope residents will back me as a strong voice for Elton at the Town Hall that will fight for the area getting its fair share.
