Statement to voters
I grew up in north Manchester before moving back recently after twenty years away.
Full statement
I was struck by the gleaming new developments in the city centre and by how little of that prosperity seemed to have reached the outlying suburbs. The inequalities across Greater Manchester are stark, and they're growing more obvious every year. Whether it's housing, transport, or access to green space, too many communities are being left behind. I joined the Greens because they are the only party seriously committed to addressing these inequalities and improving life for everyone who lives here. Where other parties offer division and excuses, the Green Party offers hope and solutions.
