Statement to voters
Jonathan Rose For Carmarthenshire
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
DELIVERING PROJECT CARMARTHENSHIRE
35% - over 1 in 3 people in Carmarthenshire are living in poverty according to a report published by Carmarthenshire County Council.
Full statement
With AI & Robotics taking people’s jobs, I believe that figure will rise significantly.
Given it will likely be the wealthiest in society that will benefit the most & control the infrastructure, we need to be prepared.
Project Carmarthenshire aims to create businesses that are self sustaining, utilising the technology & compete with the big businesses & organisations The profits generated will be used to pay people to engage in community services & activities.
PARTY FUNDING
With businesses, organisations & wealthy individuals funding the major political parties, it’s no wonder our politician’s heads are being tilted towards delivering their needs.
This is what I call “LEGALISED CORRUPTION”
By reducing the maximum a candidate or party can spend & funding elections directly from an election venture fund, we can eliminate the legalised corruption & get our politicians back working for us.
PUBLIC SERVICE REORGANISATION
With money being poured in at the top & the frontline staff being vacuumed up by middle management, it’s no wonder that our public services are failing.
We need a bottom up restructuring of our public services, ensuring a solid foundation with the frontline’s needs being identified & met by the structure above.
An emphasis on putting the control back in the hands of frontline staff, introducing competition into the workplace to drive innovation & results.
AI & ROBOTICS
Developing the strategies & businesses to ensure the machines are working for the majority, not a small minority.
MY PROMISES TO YOU:-
SALARY
I will take a maximum salary on the poverty line… Not a penny more!
The remainder to be invested back into Project Carmarthenshire.
MY OFFICE
Touring Carmarthenshire in a caravan & mobile office, I’ll be living & working where you live.
During my term in office, I’ll be giving at least 20,000 hours to the tour.
If you like a bargain, that’s around £5 an hour!
POWER
Wherever possible, I’ll be looking to deliver the power of government back into the hands of the people.
It’s your country, your county, your towns & villages, your communities.
You’re more than capable of making the decisions for yourselves!
WHAT IS YOUR VOTE WORTH?
With each successful candidate able to get more than £1 million in salary & resources, your vote is worth at least £40!
What will you do with that £40?
Pay a salary of over £75,000 to people you’ll rarely see?
Pay for a nice second home in Cardiff?
Or do you want to INVEST that money back into Carmarthenshire?
On 7th May, the choice of where you spend your £40 is up to you.
I know where I’ll be spending mine!
