I’m standing for the Liberal Democrats in Woughton & Fishermead because I believe this area deserves councillors who understand real life, not just council paperwork.

I’m an NHS doctor working in respiratory and intensive care, so I see every day how housing, poverty, isolation, poor transport, unsafe streets and lack of opportunity affect people’s health. For me, politics is not abstract. It is about whether someone gets their damp fixed, whether an older person feels safe walking home, whether a young person has somewhere positive to go, and whether families feel listened to before decisions are made about their neighbourhood.
I’m also a husband, a homeowner and someone who knows what it means to work hard, build a life, and still feel that the system does not always listen. I did not come from privilege or political connections. I know the value of persistence, graft and showing up.
That is the kind of councillor I would be: visible, practical and persistent.
My priorities are straightforward:

• Cleaner estates.
• Safer streets.
• Better housing and repairs.
• More support for young people.
• A stronger focus on health inequality.
• Councillors who actually listen, act and report back.
  I am not standing to make noise for the sake of it. I am standing because Woughton & Fishermead need serious, energetic representation from people who care about the basics and are prepared to chase them properly.
