Since then he has set-up two local businesses that employ local people. He now wants to put something back into the community where he grew up.

He has been asked to stand for election by the local Lib Dems.

“Being a councillor is about rolling your sleeves up and being an effective voice,” says Harold.

Harold is campaigning for more CCTV in Council blocks across Buckland, Portsea, Somerstown, Landport and the city centre. He has raised this issue with the Leader of
the Council.

“I want to up a strong voice for local people. When the elections come in May, please consider lending me your support so that I can make sure our area is heard.

“I will always listen to you and always put our area first,” says Harold McGregor-Sims.
