Statement to voters

I am standing for election in Leyton because working-class families in our community are being pushed to the breaking point. We are being priced out of our own neighbourhoods by skyrocketing, unaffordable housing, squeezed by low pay and a lack of secure work, and abandoned by devastating local cuts to the essential council services we rely on every day. It is time to fight back against austerity and demand a council that puts the needs of ordinary people before profit.
