Finn is the Labour Party candidate for Danbury and the Hanningfields.

He was educated at Sandon School, located in the ward, before studying Physics to master’s level at university in Lancaster.
After returning home, Finn worked at Hurley Farm in Battlesbridge and is now standing to represent the council ward that has been his home all his life.
His priorities for Essex County Council are:
- Delivering a bypass for Danbury and Little Baddow.
- Ending book reservation fees and protecting rural libraries.
- Improving the reliability of rural bus services, introducing a £2 fare cap, and scrapping bus fares for children.
- Investing in and expanding youth services so every child in Essex has the opportunity to explore their interests.
- Expanding health services in Maldon to reduce pressure on village GP surgeries.
