I am proud to be a Green Party candidate for Liversedge and Gomersal.

I moved to Liversedge at age 19 and have developed a real love for the area, but I find myself wishing that we could do more to make the ward the best it can be.
From flytipping covering our streets, to antisocial behaviour and our limited green spaces disappearing, I would love to work for residents to make Liversedge and Gomersal a home you can be proud of.
The cost of living crisis has made everyday life more difficult for all of us and some have used this to push further division between us all. I believe in hope, not hate. Working together to understand the core issues we face as a ward and pushing for solutions within tight council budgets. As a resident myself, I see many of our problems first-hand, but speaking to residents and understanding the problems that local people are experiencing is the only way to get to the root of our issues.

I am passionate about advocating for our ward issues and promise to push for these. Particular issues I am focused on are: making residents feel safe in our ward, reducing street harassment and abusive behaviour; providing more accessible options of waste disposal to reduce littering and flytipping; pushing for green spaces to be kept green and preserved; holding the council to account on upkeep of council owned land; increasing public transport links to reduce our reliance on cars and parking overcrowding.

I love utilising our greenway and ringway, which give some much-needed doses of nature to our urban ward. I am a beginner cyclist and would not have had the confidence to get out there on my bike without these brilliant off-road spaces. I would love to work alongside councillors from neighbouring wards to improve access to these routes.
