Closed assets. Rising crime. Council tax increased year on year to the maximum amount. The same approach has delivered the same results.
I’m standing to challenge that.

• Push for a Full audit of council spending. Every penny accounted for. If it can’t be justified, then it should be cut.
• No more vanity projects. I will push for services that benefit the people not the institution.
• Fight the two tier investment imbalance. I will lobby relentlessly to ensure that Dewsbury East is not be left behind while other areas are prioritised.
• Push for the full restoration and reopening of Dewsbury Sports Centre. Those who closed it cannot be trusted to save it.
• Push for more police presence and a real plan to tackle all forms of crime, particularly violent crime in the town centre.
• Lobby for investment to restore our once great town centre, and oppose any plan that manages its decline.
• Protect our green spaces & tackle the issue of fly tipping with a zero tolerance approach.
• Back local and independent businesses, charities and community groups doing vital work in our ward.
• Independent representation. I am answerable to residents alone, not party politics.
• Oppose every reckless decision, publicly and on record. Residents deserve to see what is happening with their money, where it is being spent & why.
