Michael Colling's policies

Statement to voters

I’ve worked in the police, industry, mental health nursing, and now as a counselling psychotherapist specialising in neurodivergence.

As an autistic man, social justice is something I’ve lived, not just believed in. I’ve seen first-hand the gaps in mental health services and the negative impact on support systems.

I’ve supported hundreds of people across the North East, helping them through crisis and toward better mental health, in clinic and schools.

I also led a successful community campaign against unfair heating systems, which we won, and set up a Community Interest Company providing free support to autistic people and their families.

This statement was added by Michael Colling, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
