I see waste collection issues, streets that don’t feel safe, and tenants struggling for basic repairs and respect. I see a healthcare system that erects barriers rather than opening doors.

I’ve spent 25 years working in health services—most of that time helping low and middle-income countries bridge gaps in care. That work taught me that progress is slow, hard, and only possible when communities lead it through community clinics. The same is true here.

But change doesn’t come from one person. It comes from us—together. As a co-op governor, I worked alongside parents and staff to lift a local school from Requiring Improvement to Outstanding.

I’m not here to be the answer. I’m here to help us build it. That’s my promise to Redbridge.

What i Stand for:

I am standing for the Green Party because we refuse to accept how Redbridge is being run.

Too few council homes. Tenants’ rights forgotten. Fly-tipping everywhere, but enforcement is weak and uncreative. The recycling centre is difficult to access. Green spaces are disappearing, even as housing options for our communities shrink. And residents have no real say in how their own money is spent.

These aren’t small problems. They are signs of a leadership that has stopped listening.

I have raised these issues again and again—at meetings, in letters, with neighbours and councillors. I’ve spoken up and shown up. But time after time, I’ve watched them be ignored or brushed aside.

That frustration didn’t break me. It moved me.

I’m not standing because I want a title or a political career. I’m standing because I want a different way. A way where we listen, act, and build together—on housing that is genuinely affordable, on waste systems that actually work, on protecting our green spaces, and on putting budget decisions back where they belong: in the hands of residents.

No more empty promises. No more being brushed aside. Together, we can build a Redbridge that works for all of us.
