I moved to Sheffield in 2018 and quickly found my home in Grenoside, where I live with my family.

I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, and during my time there I helped to establish the charity UniBrass, which now delivers the Inter-University Brass Band Championships and the National Universities Brass Band Summer School—the largest student-run participatory music event in the UK.
I have since served as a trustee for several Music charities and am Current Chair of A.I.M.S a national charity supporting MS patients access cutting edge treatments. My professional career has been rooted in the charity sector, leading in the arts and community development both across the UK and internationally, including in Uganda. I currently work as a charity consultant in the local area supporting small charities with fundraising and Governance. Throughout this work, my focus has always been on helping people live more meaningful, enriched lives, an approach that will be at the heart of my work as a councillor for West Ecclesfield.
