Statement to voters
I was born and raised in Enfield and I am committed to representing our local residents with transparency and clarity.
Full statement
I am standing as a candidate in Southgate because I want to give our residents a voice and an opportunity to have a say in the decision making of our ward. I want to champion growth opportunities for young people, ensure our elderly are supported, and to ensure a brighter future for everyone living in Enfield.
My academic interests lie in sustainable development and green growth, and since I’ve graduated, I have been working in public affairs and policy research, supporting government departments, diplomatic missions, and the charity sector.
I have also campaigned for increased accessibility to higher education for marginalised communities, and advocated for young people’s mental wellbeing post COVID-19. Currently, I am launching a community led platform to tackle the student rental crisis.
I want to see fairer, community centered solutions to the problems in our borough, to ensure that Southgate is a place we’re proud to call home!
