I am new to joining a political party and standing as a candidate but I wanted to join the Green Party as a party that is funded and run by people not by the rich.

Unlike Labour, Tories or Reform, the Green Party is run by ordinary working people who can put policies in place that work for ordinary working people.

As an Enfield resident I understand the concerns of the community as they are my concerns too:

• Defend the Green Belt and protect green spaces
• Tackle fly tipping and invest in safer, greener streets
• A cleaner air strategy that sets out our plans for dealing with all sources of air pollution, making our air healthier to breathe, protecting nature and boosting the economy.
• A noise policy that aims to promote good health and quality of life through effective noise management.
• Support residents through the cost of living crisis , helping those most in need
  Making sure that residential flats above shops / restaurants are given recycling bins in line with the new 'Simpler Recycling' scheme.
• Prioritise genuinely affordable housing. Bringing empty homes back into use, and upgrade existing homes to cut bills and improve living standards.
• Stand up for inclusion, promote equality and challenge divisive rhetoric.
• Improve communication between the Council and residents.
