Karen is Truro City Councillor and Kenwyn Parish Councillor with lots of practical knowledge of local issues.

She’s worked tirelessly with many local groups, including Pydar redevelopment working group, Truro and Kenwyn neighbourhood plan steering group, and stakeholder groups and stewardship groups for Langarth Garden Village. She wrote and proposed a net zero strategy for Truro City Council and a nature recovery strategy for Truro
She’s been a trustee of the local community centre, attended many residents’ meetings and consultations, and taken action in response to many residents’ concerns on local issues such as footpaths, speeding, telephone boxes and planning.
As a former businesswoman, Karen combines a responsible approach to spending with a passion for improving local services and protecting the environment.
