Peter Thomson has lived in Elswick for over 40 years as an active member of the community, a school governor at Canning Street Primary for nearly 50 years, and a **Trustee of Newcastle's West End Children's Community.

He represented Elswick on the City Council for 20 years before Labour lost its way. For 10 years now he has been a member of the Green Party actively organising to improve the streets by tackling fly-tipping and rubbish building up in back lanes; lobbying for road improvements and improved public transport.
Elswick is a wonderful, diverse community, with great potential and opportunity. Peter is dedicated to working and supporting the people of Elswick to achieve that potential and those opportunities.
