Everyone knows that resources are scarce, but it seems that those with the greatest need are losing out. This needs putting right.

When times are tough, the seeds of division are often sown and take root more easily. We must not let our neighbourhoods become divided and local representatives, including councillors, must work with local groups to promote the understanding that underpins cohesion.

“Politicians have become complacent and our neighbourhoods have been neglected. Hard times should never be an excuse for doing nothing. I live in the area and everyday I see for myself big things and little things that could be done to make things better for ordinary people, if only the will was there. I have the will and I have the experience to know how to do it.”
