Statement to voters

As a local campaigner for over two-decades and a resident I understand (our) issues, in Stanwell Moor, Stanwell & Ashford North as I live here with you.

Full statement

As a Local Champion and previously as a Councillor it has been a privilege to serve our community. I am not a career politician, I’m a local man who is dedicated to improve our area, who understands how Government works and who knows - How to get things done!

As a community activist I’m well-known for standing up for local residents, so when so many residents asked me to return to politics I decided to stand. I am also standing because Surrey County Council and Spelthorne Borough Councils are in a financial mess due to incompetence and gross mismanagement and this cannot be allowed to happen in the new West Surrey and (hopefully) South Middlesex Council.

WHAT PEOPLE MIGHT NOT KNOW? I have previous Council experience, I know how they work, how to get the best from them and how to make changes from within a Council - And GOD knows this new Council, WILL NEED to CHANGE!

I also have business and town planning experience and have previously been responsible for the management of the largest Council property portfolio in the UK. So I would ask residents to trust my experience to reform issues that have been so neglected by current administrations.

I’m standing as this election is a transformative political moment for West Surrey as the new authority will merge 6 local councils to oversee the delivery of services that affect the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of 600,000 residents into one 'mega' council.

I’m standing as this Labour government is ruining our country, the Conservatives have allowed Surrey County Council to become one of the worst managed authorities in England and Liberal Democrat incompetence has seen the once proud Spelthorne Council decline into special measures and facing an unprecedented debt crisis.

With Spelthorne holding just 14 seats at the decision-making table, it is vital that residents elect proven decision makers to sit at that table who understand local issues and if elected I’ll make sure Stanwell, Stanwell Moor & Ashford North ward gets the resources it needs.

This council will have the opportunity to make people’s lives better, deliver better front-line services, much-needed community facilities and grow our local economy but if we (don’t get it right) this time – We will see more of the same!

_ ‘My record of delivery speaks for itself. - I NEVER take credit for the work of others. - I’ll deliver upon that if elected and I’ll ensure the voices of the residents of Stanwell, Stanwell Moor & Ashford North are heard loud and clear and I will put residents first. – ALWAYS.'_

I have a simple question in regard to all of the above; - Who do you want fighting your corner for the next five-years? - Someone who has no experience and cant. - Or someone who has proven they can, and will do everything they can for our residents?

Vote for Experience over Inexperience - Vote Substance over Symbolism - Vote for Action over more Inaction.

It’s time for change - Vote Community, Vote Local, Vote Reform UK!
