Martin has lived in Reigate and Redhill for over 25 years and has been a Councillor representing Meadvale and St John's Ward over the last three years including serving on the Overview and Scrutiny and Licensing committees.

Now semi-retired, he has spent his entire career in the music industry primarily on the live side. He has been an agent, manager, promoter, record label/magazine head, writer and government advisor - before the current government. He is best known for working as Senior Booker Advisor to the Glastonbury Festivals for over 40 years and co-founded numerous festivals and events around the world. Before he broke his leg in an accident earlier this year, he liked taking his whippet for walks in the wonderful local green spaces.
