I have lived in Earley for 40 years where I’ve represented Maiden Earley at Wokingham Borough Council since 2022.

I’m also an Earley Town Councillor, chairing their Planning Committee.

My passions are pragmatic protection of the environment, train travel, greenspaces and coastlines. I had a minor role in maintaining a vintage steam vessel. I started my career as an officer in the British Merchant Navy in 1971. I left in 1983 with a British Chief Engineer’s Certificate to begin working in Facilities Management in Central London offices.

I studied part-time for a degree in Environmental Engineering. I then worked for a Bracknell company and was their Engineering Director for 20 years until 2019.

During that time I held various voluntary roles at the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and was made an Honorary Fellow in recognition of services to the industry.

I now volunteer at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, driving the buggy which helps patients round the hospital.

If re-elected, I would like to continue to help residents and try to get the best value for money for all Council activities, so they can afford to provide the extra things that make Wokingham a great place to live.
